Dubai Internet City
The Dubai internet city was established in October 2000 with the participation of Dubai Holding sub-company of TECOM. With the vision of the information economy, Dubai Internet City has built the largest Internet-communications technology infrastructure of the Middle-East region in addition, creating a free trade zone. It was an important step in the 2021 vision put into place by Emir Al-Maktum. Multinational technology companies such as Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Criteo, Oracle, HP, IBM, Dell, Siemens, Canon and Sony Ericsson have opened their new offices here and made them a center for regional operations.
As location, it is adjacent to Palm Jumeriah, 25km south of the city of Dubai Internet City. Fast growing and expensive residential area. You also have a chance to walk to the sea.
As the 2023 vision that the Turkish government adopts and adapts is based on Dubai. But Dubai Sheikh does its 2021 plans with a global vision, there is a “Dubai” sense that goes beyond the borders of the country. A city by itself was made up of young, intelligent world citizens. Huge numbers of expats moved in decades, as result of creating information society and technological investment. Just think a of a city that people are coming from different countries of the world (different backgrounds) and are 90% of the total population. Inspite of all Trump effect in USA and increasing nationalism, Dubai has been established one unique culture. It’s a today’s city, made by today’s people. Yes, there is no history, totally artificial, many skyscraper… It satisfies people live in it… I know what you are thinking, but still money is not everything :), Dubai provides a lifestyle too.
Wait… What does it mean by saying crime?
The city has the lowest crime rate in the world. As I defined Dubai as ‘new world city’, I actually meant it…Crime perception is also totally different. Virtual crime such as internet banking, or hacking has one of the fastest increasing crime rate that state took very seriously.
On the other hand murder, terrorism and theft are far behind the rates in developed countries. Https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_in_the_United_Arab_Emirates

When it comes to mind that buying a laptop or iPhone, it is the first website that comes to mind too.
Namshi, a Rocket Internet initiative, is the main player of Dubai’s online fashion. They have a policy to free return in 14 days.
